What you should know for the best care of your candles:
- Keep the wick centered and trimmed to ¼'' at all times
- This will prevent excessive soot buildup on your candle
- Keep the candle away from any vents, fans, or drafts
- This will prevent it from burning unevenly and/or too quickly
- Make sure your candle wax is free of debris
- This will prevent unwanted combustion
- Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time
- So that it doesn't burn too quickly
- Discontinue use when ¼'' of wax remains
- Burning the candle too far down can lead to excessive soot or overheating of the container. If you love your candle container, we recommend reusing it!
- Do not use water or any other liquid to extinguish your candle
- The first time you light your candle, make sure it burns for at least 2 hours to allow the wax to melt to the edges of the candle.
- This will prevent tunneling
- If tunneling occurs, burn in 3-4 hour increments until the candle corrects itself.
- You can also cover it with aluminum foil, cutting a hole in the center.
- If your candle doesn't release a strong fragrance:
- Make sure to burn your candle for 3-4 hours each time you light it. This will allow the wax and wick to heat up properly and emit fragrance.
- Move your candle to another location to avoid drafts from vents or fans
- Please note: single-wick candles are designed for use in smaller rooms to improve fragrance performance. Double or triple-wick candles work best in larger rooms.
